Sunday is my favourite #2

The most interesting day of the week for me is always Sunday. That is my first day-off from my normal day-job, which means the first proper working day as an illustrator and surface pattern designer. So if I am able to, I like to start it early, do a bit of work and then follow the rest of my plans – which is usually more work or meeting my Sister.

I thought I’d make a series about how my Sundays look like, and the reasons for that:

* I have a really bad memory, so I’d like to have sg like a diary, but I cannot do that on paper, because I’d love to insert photos, but my printer is broken..
* Also I’d like to share useful things with you, like how to make yourself happy with a tiny thing (e.g. the joy of making a cup of coffee), places to visit (mostly in London, because I live here), what books or blogs to read etc.

The most interesting, I said? Well, not this one unfortunately.. probably most of us (women in this case) know what period pain is. But I think the main problem with it is not just the unbearable pain itself, but that men cannot understand. (this might sound a bit feminist, but if you can get to the end, you’ll see it’s not even that. I’d just like everyone to be equally respected) And I can’t even complain, because my Love knows he has no idea how bad it could be, but he can imagine based on how I look like. But the men who do not appreciate their wives, the ones who think women worth less… just makes me fuming. Just because we are less strong physically, we are not able to lift up as much as men do (well, in general, you know what I mean), it doesn’t mean we are less strong people. Between the age of 15-60 we have to deal with monthly period pain, giving birth, menopause. And they all come with mood swings, spots, cravings etc. every single month. And they dare to say tampax and sanitary pad is a luxury product! Also that a person  in general suffers from serious pain in twentysomething hours in a lifetime…! Must be all men coming up with these ideas..

I’m sorry about this post, this blog is about fun stuff, tips, illustration, but also about me, and this is me too. And do not get me wrong, I’m not saying, women are more than men either. I just hate when they think they are more than us. (however they all come from mothers, right..?)
No, there are as many good, worthy or useless, rude women as men. How much we worth does not depend on our gender, but how good persons we are.

Anyway! Let’s get back to business, shall we? 🙂 So there was some fun stuff today too, don’t worry, I am quite a complainer (like all the Hungarians, it’s in our blood 🙂 ), but I am trying to develop 🙂 So even though I’m in pain, and I had to cancel the original plans (going to Columbia Road Flowers Market), I met my Sister for a coffee (where I didn’t have to move much 🙂 ).

Our favourite place to go to Sunday mornings, when we don’t have any other plans is one of the Nordic Bakeries. It’s quiet early in the morning, they have lovely pastries, great coffee, and we need nothing more for our few hours chat with my Sister 🙂

I also worked on some of my ideas, I’ll show you below, but not much, because I had to pack for travelling home. So next Sunday, post is coming from Hungary, probably with not much drawing and painting, but more cakes and dogs 🙂

and a thank you card for someone who helped me getting my first proper, big commission

That’s it for today, I hope you’ve had a lovely Sunday, and if you liked my post, check my blog in a week as well! And if my plans are going well, soon there will be another series with some tutorials and tips. We’ll see.
